Today I am thankful for family time spent together.

Day 11

Thankful for my job with Entergy. I love coming to work. I have been here 5 years today!! Which also means I am vested with the company, Hooray!! And I get another week of vacation next year, which is a plus too. No really, it is a great company to work for. I work with some great people and have learned so much since I have been here. I have done things that I never..Ever.. thought I would be doing. For example, I did dental molds on the gas turbine blades a couple of outages ago. That was an interesting task, but I did it. Defintely outside my accounting background. Today, I learned more about our tagging process and tagged out some 4160 breakers all with my hardhat, safety glasses, and steel toes on. Anyway, I learn something new almost everyday, and I love my job. Never.A.Dull.Moment.At.The.Powerplant :) Thanks to Ray Burrell for telling me about this job opening here, with much prayer and guidance, I am where I am supposed to be and doing the job I am supposed to do. I love it here! Thanks to the Big E :)

Day 10

Thankful for my Fridays OFF!! Yes, I might have to get up a little earlier on Mon-Thurs, but it is all worth it on Fridays! Yesterday, my Mom and I spent a great day at Mistletoe Marketplace in Jackson. It was so much fun. I love the Christmas season, and enjoy spending my Fridays with my girls and my mom, and MawMaw too. Destin gets off at lunch on Fridays, so that is nice too. He enjoys this during hunting season especially :)

Mistletoe morning was great. Food was good and shopping was better! Love to kick off my holiday season with Mistletoe. Gets me in the Holiday Spirit!! :) Listening to Christmas music too.

Day 9

I am thankful for my MawMaw! She is the best grandmother and great-grandmother to my girls in the WORLD!!! She keeps the girls for me three days a week, but she is much more than a baby sitter. MawMaw has always been so special to me. I am the only grandchild, so you might say, I was a little spoiled? BUT if you think I am spoiled, you should meet my girls? Just kidding, MawMaw takes care of us :) We try to spoil her when we can too. She and PawPaw took me on camping trips, out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse almost every Friday night, and even came to Starkville to take me out to eat when I was in college. Did I mention, she is a wonderful cook? Her Christmas cooking is my FAV and it is almost here. Lookout scales after MawMaw's cooking :) Her martha washington candy, oreo balls, cheese ball, and trash are my FAV. Oh wow, I am hungry just thinking about it!!! And she makes some of the girls clothes too. She can cook, sew, and do just about anything else :) MawMaw, we all love you so much and appreciate all you do for us!!!

Thankfully Day 8

I am thankful today for my parents, Tim and Sandra Cook, or better known now as Pop and Nana :) They raised me in a Christian home and instilled great values in me that will last a lifetime. I had a great childhood and am who I am today because of them. We love and appreciate all they do for us so much. The girls love their Pop and Nana to the moon and back. Mary Margaret mastered saying their names in no time! The girls love to be in Possumneck; in fact, we all do. It is the country life (which I know nothing about) but am learning! Destin loves it there. It is no doubt, our home away from home! We love you so much Pop and Nana! The BEST parents and grandparents EVER!!!!!

Day 7

Thankful for my health.... There are so many people who have health problems in this world, and I have not been feeling well the past few days. I am ok, and am on a Z pack now, so hopefully on the road to recovery. But it has opened my eyes, just a little, into having to go on with life's day to day things when you don't feel your best. And with 3 girls and a husband that does help me a lot, It.is.still.a.challenge. Anyway, I am so thankful to the Lord for good health thus far in my life :) And I pray for continued good health in the future!!

Day 6

Today, I am thankful for the sweet baby girl, Mary Margaret, the Lord blessed us with last November 16th at 2:43pm in the afternoon. Her Big sisters were beyond excited for her arrival as were Destin and I. You have been the best baby! I can't believe we are only a week away from your first birthday, and will be celebrating your big day this weekend on Sunday with family and friends. You are such a sweet blessing to all of us. We are so thankful for this sweet baby girl. Love you MM :) Look at this sweet baby girl who was sooo tired at the dinner table the other night!!

Day 5- thankful

I am thankful for Mallory Brooke Moore, my sweet, middle child, born to us on June 20, 2008. Already having SaraBeth as a wee 7month old, I must say, when we found out that another baby was on the way, was quite.a.SHOCK!!! Anyway, what a great surprise baby girl, who brings so much joy to our lives. She keeps us on our toes, to say the least. She is a blue eyed, spunky, full of life, 4 year old for sure! She is a great eater, that will try almost anything. She loves playing with all her friends at preschool, writing with side walk chalk, jumping on the trampoline, playing outside, and eating junk food, candy is her favorite. :) She is definitely "True Maroon", her pop has made sure of that! haha!! She loves to go to all MSU games, both football and basketball. She is loving taking gymnastics, and played her one and only season of soccer. Needless to say, it will probably be her last for a while; it wasnt her thing :) But she does like gym! She is a skinny mini, so she should be able to tumble all over the place, we will see! She loves to play with her big sister, SaraBeth, and thinks she is just as big as she is and can do EVERYTHING she can :) They do play well together most of the time, and they will always have such a sweet friendship too. Love these sweet girls. I am so thankful for you, Mal, love you to the moon and back!

Soccer party

Well, our first soccer season came to an end this past Saturday morning. The girls really improved over the season and SB even became somewhat aggressive at times. They had fun. Hope and I coached Ivey's team, and we had a good time doing it. Every Sat. since Sept. 15th, though, I must say, I am ready.for.a.break. Anyway, they had fun at their party; pizza, candy, cookie :) Hope made the cookie; it was cute and yummy! Way to go Ivey's, we had a good soccer season! Fun times!!

Day 4

I am thankful for my first, sweet, baby girl, SaraBeth, that was born to us on Feb. 17, 2007. What a joy and blessing she is to us. She loves Kindergarten, and was outstanding student the 1st nine weeks. She enjoys cheer, playing outside, singing, going to church, and playing with all her friends. She played soccer this fall, and did really well. You could definitely tell she improved and became somewhat aggressive; still working on that. She is a very passive child, which has its advantages as well. She is a caring, loving and sweet 5 and a half year old diva. We love you sooo much, SaraBeth. I am so thankful for you :)

 

Day 3

I am thankful for my husband, Destin. We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary this year back in June, but we were high school sweathearts and have been together over 12 years. I love you so much Destin. I am thankful for the husband and father you have become. Looking forward to spending many more years together :) I love you!

Day 2

I am thankful that God hears my prayers and is always faithful to answer. Even if it is not how or when I think it should happen, God's plan and timing is always perfect. It is awesome that the almighty God loves me enough to listen to my prayers, and it can be little or a big deal, and He cares for them all. If we will trust Him in all things in our lives, He will work all things for good.

Day 1: Thankful for...

I am going to do something a little different this year. I am going to countdown the days to Thanksgiving by telling something that I am thankful for each day on the blog. Here is goes......

Day 1: I am thankful for Jesus, who died on the cross to save me from my sin, and paid that ultimate sacrifice for us. I am thankful that God chose to send HIS one and only Son to die for me. I mean, when I think about one of my girls having to die, that is almost unimaginable. What a cost? For someone like me? Really? I sometimes forget the awesomeness of this sacrifice that was made for each believer. We get so caught up in the craziness of today's junk, that we forget the most important thing in Life, and that is Jesus died for us, so that one day, we can live FOREVER with Him in Heaven :) Yay!! I am already loving this thanksgiving month!!
