I can't believe Mary Margaret is already 2 months old. She went to see Dr. JoeJoe today for her 2 month checkup and shots. :( Poor baby! She did good, but cried a little. I wanted to cry too! She is growing and changing everyday. She still has really blue eyes and dark hair. She weighs 10lbs 11oz and was almost 23 inches long!! Dr. Joe said it looks like she is going to be tall too. All 3 girls are in the 75% in height for their ages! That is so strange since Destin nor I are very tall. Who knows? I guess they take after their Pop. Mary Margaret is starting to really watch her big sisters and is smiling and cooing more everyday. She is a good eater and is taking 4-6 oz of milk every 3-4 hours. She loves to be held, and thanks to MawMaw and Nana, she is VERY spoiled! haha! SaraBeth and Mallory love to hold her too and are being the best big sisters! These 2 months have gone by in a flash especially with the holidays mixed in there. Hopefully things will slow down some and we can really enjoy every stage over the next few months. I am back at work, and a little sad about that, but we are getting back in a routine and getting adjusted. But enough about that, it is the weekend now, and I am going to enjoy every minute, rain or not!

I am going to do better in the new year with my blogging, I promise. This maternity leave has been sooo nice, and I am definitely SPOILED. But next Wed. it is back to reality. So I have just ONE more week! My baby girl will be 7 weeks tomorrow. She has been sick, but is doing better now thank goodness... We have all had pink eye after Christmas, but are well now. That is some bad stuff. We ended 2011 with a bang, and spent New Year's eve in Possumneck. We roasted mashmellows and hotdogs outside. The girls had a blast.
2011 has been a good one, and my prayer is 2012 is to grow in my relationship with Christ and become more like Him. Happy New Year!!

Gosh, how time has flown! Mary Margaret is already 4 weeks old. She is growing and changing everyday. She is still a good baby. She wakes up to take a bottle about every 3-4 hours and then pretty much sleeps the rest of the time. She doesn't like to have her clothes changed or on a wet diaper, but other than that, she is a happy baby.

Mary Margaret went for her 2 week checkup. Dr. Joe said she looked fabulous. She is one ounce above birth weight, which is great! Simulac is treating her right. She is a good little eater. She is taking about 4 oz every 4 hours or so. She is such a good baby. Can't believe she is already 2 weeks. Wow, how time flies! Her next dr. appt is Jan. 20 when she will get shots :( Dread that day already!

Mallory had so much fun at Caroline's party at Pump it Up. It was her first time to go there. Perfect place for a party! Then she and I did some shopping in Jackson and finished the day with a GiGi's cupcake :) She slept all the way home.

SaraBeth had a fun day in Starkville with Pop and Nana. They went to the basketball and football games and tailgating! She was so tired last night :)

37 weeks

Mary Margaret is as long as stalk of Swiss chard, and now she can hear and recognize your voice. We are not for sure exactly how much she weighs, but we go Monday morning for a sonogram. It is above average, because over a week ago, the sono showed 7lbs, so I am sure she is well on her way to 8lbs if she's not already :) A healthy baby girl is what we are praying for! The umbilical cord begins passing antibodies to your baby in preparation for delivery. By stockpiling antibodies, your baby will be better prepared for the disease and germs she'll encounter outside the womb. Your baby's senses are also getting more time to hone their burgeoning skills. She can hear and recognize your voice. Once she's born you'll be able to see her turn her head in your direction when she hears you speak. She knows her mom! Along with her hearing, her eyesight is improving each day. Her fingers are also becoming more coordinated. She can grasp her face or toes. And after birth she'll be able to grab onto your finger. Oh, I can't wait for that moment, when she is holding my finger, so sweet! Hopefully, just a few more days :) Both SaraBeth and Mallory were born during week 37, so we will see if Mary Margaret follows suit.

The girls have had a a super busy schedule this week :) They went to Starkville with Pop and Nana last Sat to the MSU football game, then they went back to Starkville Mon. night for basketball and then back again last night for more MSU hoops. They won 2 out of 3. Not too bad for the bullies. They have a tough one coming up this Sat. in football, Alabama. SaraBeth is going with Pop and Nana to the basketball game at 1:00 and then tailgating and football game that night at 6:45. Mallory is staying with me, and she has a birthday party for Caroline Hammock in Brandon at "Pump it Up." Then we will do a little eating and shopping in Jackson and then come home. I am sure Destin will be doing some hunting if he is feeling better by then, I sure hope he is better. Busy, busy. I am planning to start some Christmas decorating in the house and make a quick trip to the ackerman fabric store this weekend too. We will have church on Sunday and then back to see Dr. Cole and have a sonogram at 9:00 on Monday. Hope you all have a restful weekend as I am planning to! haha.

As hopeful that we were that Mary Margaret might make her arrival this week, the Lord definitely knows best. His ways are definitely higher. Destin came down with flu like symptoms yesterday afternoon, and he is now on tami-flu for precaution. Hopefully he is on the mend, and will be good to go by the weekend. I can't have him down and sick right now :)He has to be there to meet little miss when she decides to make her grand arrival. Well, I am a little disappointed to say the least. I went to see dr cole yesterday, and I had made no progress since last Thursday.... Frustrating. Anyway, I was sad last night, but I have got to stop being selfish about this and let God bring Mary Margaret in His time. I have so much to be thankful for, my blood pressure is still really good, only have a little swelling, I am able to still work, play with the girls, baby is doing well and has a good, strong heartbeat, and point blank, just must not be ready yet. I was reading my Bible this morning, and as always God has an important lesson for me today. "Commit your ways to the Lord, TRUST HIM, and He will act." Psalm 37:5 Boy, was that what I needed to hear today. Father, thank you for your faithfulness to answer me when I call for help, even when yor plan looks different from my expectations. I am such a planner by nature, that not knowing when MM will be here, is seriously about to drive me crazy. My prayer today is to trust Him totally on this, and I KNOW he will allow this sweet baby girl to be born on HIS perfect time, not mine. I go back next Monday, Nov. 14 for another sonogram and to see Dr. Cole. :)

Mistletoe Marketplace on Friday, new Christmas CD's, and Holiday open house in Kosy on Sunday.... I am definitley in the Christmas Spirit! I am working on my shopping in full force. I am almost finished with the girls and Destin. I have ideas for most everyone on what to get them, just got to find the time to get those gifts. My goal is still to be finished by Dec. 1 so I can enjoy the holidays and spend precious time with our new baby girl Mary Margaret, SaraBeth, and Mallory. I am looking forward to helping with class parties, Christmas baking with MawMaw and girls, spending time in Possumneck, etc during my time on maternity leave. I am most of all looking forward to wearing normal, non-maternity clothes, and being much CLOSER to my regular size. Although I am sure the holiday cooking/eating will be fabulous and poundful, so not much dieting going on there. But come JAN. 1, LOOKOUT. I am going to start back running and watching my diet. Got to get ready for weddings in the spring, and swimsuit/beach season won't be too far away either. Anyway, back to Christmas, SaraBeth and I have been practicing for her choir Chrismas program at church, and she reminded me just yesterday, that Christmas is about more than presents, Mama... She said, Christmas is about Jesus. "It's His Birthday" that we celebrate. It was so sweet to be reminded of this from her. Even through the holiday madness, I pray that I will always remember her saying that to me in our kitchen in my mind, not just this Christmas, but for my lifetime. Jesus truly is the reason for the season and the reason we celebrate! Only 1 month 2 weeks and 4 days away :)

Ok, I just had to tell you all about this car seat we got for Mary Margaret. I LOVE it!! I used a graco one for the girls, but passed that on to my nephew. So glad we got a new one. It has a soft pillow headrest and I can't wait to see that sweet baby girl in it :) And, YES, it is already in my suburban ready to go!!! Any day now...

Mallory is 3 and a half, and she truly has the "middle child" syndrome and Mary Margaret is not even here yet. She loves Toy Story! She is the boy that we never had. ha! She is full of life and going non-stop. She is enjoying ballet and can't wait for the recital (in may). ha. Mal loves to play in possumneck, ride the tractor and 4 wheeler, and go to MSU games with Pop and Nana. She likes school, awana, choir, and mission friends. She loves to eat candy and drink coke (like mama).... Mal is a very sweet, precious, skinny and tall, hard-headed squirt, and we love her so much!

SaraBeth is a 4, almost 5 year old (if you ask her) little angel. She is a tenderhearted, caring, little girl. She has learned all the books of the New Testament at school, and we are all so impressed. Wow at 4!! She is enjoying taking gymnastics and she loves going to possumneck to play and to MSU ballgames with Pop and Nana (basketball and football). SB is a much healthier eater than Mal, and drinks mainly juice and sweet tea. (like her Daddy) She loves going to school, choir, awana, and mission friends too. She likes princess stuff, barbies, strawberry shortcake, and is my "Girly" one for sure. She likes to have her nails done :) We love you so much SB.

Your baby is the size of a Crenshaw melon, and this week dimples are forming at her elbows and knees as her body grows rounder. Yesterday when we had a sonogram, Mary Margaret weighs right at 7 lbs. I am 1.5cm dilated. I go back Tuesday for another appt. Your baby is working hard to accumulate all the fat she can at this point, and that layer of fat has now rounded out her face. This build-up of fat -- about 15 percent of her total weight--will help her maintain her body temperature. Can't wait to meet her very soon!

Your baby is the size of a honeydew melon, and she now has the ability to suck. So she'll be ready for a bottle at birth. At this point, your unborn baby should be positioned with her head facing down toward the cervix. About 97 percent of babies have adopted this position by this point. At our last sonogram at 30 weeks, Mary Margaret was in the head down position. Praying she is still that way. I go back Thurs. for my appt and sonogram. :)I am still in nesting mode. I am washing all the baby clothes this weekend and starting to pack bags. I am going to bring the swing in the living room soon and put the infant seat in the car. We are all getting excited!! This has been a great week. Some sweet friends have surprised me everyday with a baby gift. It has been so much fun and Mary Margaret has gotten so many cute things! Thank you so much to my friends who have made this week so special for me.

We are all getting so excited about Mary Margaret's arrival, but we have got to remember, she is not coming on our time, but on God's time. 34 week checkup

My appt went well this afternoon. No dilation yet and everything was great. My blood pressure was good and Mary Margaret's heart rate was good too. Destin went with me. I go back next Thursday and will get a sonogram then too. Just a few more weeks and Mary Margaret will be here! Alot to do and short amount of time to get it all done. I am going to pack bags soon and put the car seat in the car; these are just a few things on the to do list.

We had a wonderful weekend! We started early with Beauty and the Beast on Thurs. night at Thalia Mara Hall, then Friday, Mama, Queta, and I went to Celebration Village in Tupelo. We had a blast and it definitely got me in the holiday spirit! We are 2 months and 1 day away from Christmas :) I got Mary Margaret 2 of the most precious little hats ever.... So Sweet! Then Friday night, we came home and got the girls from MawMaw's and went home and put the pack n play up... We are all so anxious and excited for Mary Margaret's arrival. Then Sat. I cleaned up the house some, and SaraBeth had a birthday party to go to at Beehive Bakery for Chasdyn. She had fun decorating cupcakes. Then Sat. night, we had a Fall Sunday School party at the Cummins house. We had soups, appetizers, and roasted marshmellows on the bonfire. The girls stayed with Nana and Pop so they had a fun night too! Then Sunday morning at Sunday School, our class threw me a diaper shower. I got a bunch of diapers, wipes, etc. A big thanks to everyone! Especially Hope, she and Bobby had breakfast yesterday morning. She made my favorite breakfast casserole, and white chocolate covered oreos with a pink "M" on them. So cute! Then awana last night at church! It was a busy, but really great weekend. Looking forward to a good week ahead!

But it'll all be washed off very shortly after birth -- during her first-ever bath.
I am in extreme nesting mode now. I have been cleaning and getting everything ready. I got her peg perego car seat in, am going to put the swing and pack and play up this weekend, and our Sunday School class is giving us a diaper shower Sun. morning. So excited!! We are ready to meet this new baby girl.

I am sooo excited! I just found out we are going to see Beauty and the Beast tonight at Thaila Mara Hall in Jackson. The girls will LOVE it!! I am pretty pumped too. Nana, SaraBeth, Mallory, and I are headed to Jackson late this afternoon for dinner and then to the broadway musical "Beauty and the Beast." This will probably be our last "girls" trip before Mary Margaret is born. Super excited! Thanks so much to our friends who couldn't make it and so generously gave us their 4 tickets on the 7th row centerstage!

Baby Kyle is a GIRL and is going to be named Annna Payton :) Love it!!!! And Baby Cox is a BOY and is going to be named John Calen. So sweet!!! Can't wait for spring to meet these new little ones. We love ya'll and are so excited!!

The last few days have been a big blurr for our family. Destin's mom, MeMe, passed away Sunday night about 6:30pm. She lost her battle with cancer. Visitation is tonight at Culpepper Funeral Home from 5-8 and the funeral is tomorrow at Williamsville Baptist Church at 11. Please keep Destin, his sisters, and our entire family in your prayers. Mistletoe Merchants

Hope and I had a fun day at the Mistletoe Merchants Christmas shopping event in Memphis yesterday. It was just the 2 of us, and we left the kiddos at home. We haven't had a girls day like that in probably 4 years or better. We had a great time and look forward to having another girls day soon! Can't believe it is getting time to look at Christmas stuff. I am definitely in the holiday spirit now. Can't wait for Thurs. this week, Canton Flea Market, then Celebration Village in Tupelo the next week, then have Halloween weekend, then Mistletoe Marketplace brunch in Jackson on Nov. 3, and then Mary Margaret will be making her arrival soon thereafter. :) Fun times ahead!

Thursday, SaraBeth and the 4 year olds from FPCP went to the Nichol's Boyd Pumpkin Patch in Canton. We had so much fun.

We are 80% of the way there!
By now, your baby weighs over 4.5 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth. I had a dr's appt yesterday and everything was well. I got my flu shot, and we listened to the heart tones. So sweet, SaraBeth was with me, and she was so amazed. I go back to see Dr. Cole on Oct. 24 and will be well in to my 34th week. She will start checking me then, so we will see. Hopefully Mary Margaret will be making her arrival in approx. 5 weeks :)

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 4.1 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. She's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active.
